Evaluation

Researching old products to help aid me in making my own was very useful as it gave me an insight on how to deliver a well rounded published piece. Looking at old products helped give me knowledge on how to layout the page for my written article. It also helped me learn on how to address the audience. Peer feedback helped because it showed me the errors I had made and I knew what to do next to improve my work. I had to change a few things around such additional information in the article and new layout features such as screenshots. Re-drafting my written piece's allowed me to input improvements where needed. For example my article was aimed for a wide age ranged audience but I noticed that the wording was a little too complicated for a younger audience and so adjusted it in a way that allowed it to be understood by all ages.

Creating a pre production portfolio was good as it allowed me to clearly see what steps I had to make in order to complete my written pieces. It also showed me what props or photos I may need in order to complete the task. During production I had to alter an image so that the Q&A section of my work would have a suitable background that kept within the theme of the Legend of Zelda. What I did was I had to edit the picture I had used for the review so that the main character was not in the image. I needed to this because otherwise, text over the image would not have been clearly seen. I played around in photoshop, using tools like the clone tool, and managed to remove him from the image. This made it so a had a good picture for the background of my second written piece. All of my work was stored on a computer in well named folders which made it so I knew where everything was. Overall I enjoyed the task and think I did the best I could in creating two written pieces that did justice for one of my favourite games.
